After running second to stablemate Vancouver in the 2015 Golden Slipper this Newhaven Park-owned mare has gone right on with the job which included taking out the Group One All Aged Stakes in 2016. She’ll be looking for retribution from Chautauqua who stole the 2017 TJ Smith when she looked all but home. Ever since she made her stunning debut at Kembla Grange back in January 2015, this daughter of Encosta De Lago has maintained an electric turn of foot that is devastating when she gets races run to suit.

Blake Shinn has had plenty of success on the mare throughout her career and having returned from a successful stint in America riding eleven winners, has been booked to continue his association with her as she heads towards The Everest in mid-October.

Co-trainer Gai Waterhouse was thrilled to return from her European holiday to the news that TABCORP had sort the mare to fill their slot.

“I think the form out of the TJ Smith Stakes is the right form for The Everest,’’ said Waterhouse, “It is not surprising to me that the three placegetters (Chautauqua, English, Fell Swoop) from that race are in The Everest now.’’
